Cardiac Rehabilitation

Clare Medical Centre has introduced the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program to assist patients who are either at risk of a heart attack or who have been treated for one.

Cardiovascular diseases is one of the most common problems treated by Doctor's in Australia.

The major preventable risk factors for cardiovascular disease are:
• tobacco smoking
• high blood pressure
• high blood cholesterol
• insufficient physical activity
• overweight and obesity
• poor nutrition
• diabetes

Once a patient has been indicated as high risk or are recovering from an abnormal heart occurance they are booked in with our Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse.

These nurse's work in conjuntion with the patient's Doctor and Cardiologists to create the best plan of action to suit the patient.

These plans can include assistance from local Dietician, Diabetes Educator or Personal Trainers at the Gym.
